The "Working Holiday" category allows young people from participating countries to travel and work in Canada for a period of up to 24 months, depending on the country.

This category is aimed at young people who have already secured a job offer in Canada and is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to gain Canadian work experience.

• It's a closed work permit.

• It is necessary to have a job offer in Canada that contributes to your professional development.   

• You will work for the same employer and at the same location in Canada. 

• The work must be paid and not self-employed. 

• The work must be graded (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3). A work in the TEER 4 category may qualify if it is related to your field of study. 

• The number of places is limited and they are allocated through rounds of invitations.

This category is intended for students who wish to undertake professional internships in Canada as part of their academic training.

• You must be a registered student at a post-secondary education institution. 

• You need to complete this internship to finish your studies. 

• You must have a job offer for an internship or traineeship in Canada (it must be directly related to your field of study). 

• You will work for the same employer at the same location during your stay in Canada. 

• It is a work permit specifically for the employer.
